We just got word today that the Labor Board is cancelling hearings scheduled for July and is now scheduling into August. This means our hearing for the Sergeant's test grievance that was scheduled for July 2nd will be postponed to a later date.
Additionally we haven't heard anything about rescheduling the Personnel Appeals Board hearings yet so we don't have a timetable for that resuming yet.

At least have the backbone to show up to the next swat training and look us in the eyes instead of doing it from behind your desk coward. You can have all the equipment back too and do it yourself. Oh wait, you have to be able to hit the broad side of the barn! Since the public reads this, contrary to our administrations facebook posts about fireworks and marching in protests, no, patrol is not enforcing citizen complaints when met with people super hostile against police. Across the country, police officers are being fired and arrested for using (usually reasonable force) with uncooperative subjects. Police officers across the nation (including ehpd) are minimalizing hostile confrontations with the public. Even ehpd is met with great resistance on routine calls. Instead of administration reasurring that officers will be supported by law and precedent, it is highly believed the contrary at this time. There are many officers who want to help, want to intervene, serve the community from the bad apples, and have always done “business” as so. But the climate in our country dictates otherwise at this time and the administration has not addressed this. The criminals are unfortunately taking over. Instead of the generic post from chiefs to all the pds in ct, marching in protests, and advising the public to call ehpd for fireworks complaints, it would be refreshing to hear the administration advising patrol something along the lines of “we know its rough out there. Stay safe. And use your discretion when responding to possible volatile confrontations at all costs.” There are so many good people at ehpd, lets keep em with a shred a morale.

Guys-be nice. He hasnt done much police work since he got here hasnt quite gotten into it yet. Have patience, im sure his dedication to the job, work ethic, honesty, and knowledge will prevail.....Or he’ll end up like 233 (fired or demoted however you want to take it).
